Patriot Guard Riders National Gathering of the Guard,

July 30-August 2, 2009

Located approximately 40 miles north of Salt Lake City nestled at the base of the majestic Wasatch Mountain range is Ogden, Utah, site of the Gathering of the Guard 2009.

The Gathering of the Guard 2009 planning committee has organized the best and most meaningful event possible to make this “A Weekend to Remember!”  We are offering you an experience that will further validate the mission of PGR while providing a fun and enjoyable vacation.  With national and local sponsorships, as well as support of the local community, proceeds from this event will be donated to PGR and the Help on the Home Front (HOTH) Program.

The dates for this event were intentionally selected to capitalize on Utah’s mild summer climate, beautiful mountain views, and some of the best motorcycle riding routes in the country.  Not coincidentally, this event occurs immediately before opening day at the Sturgis Rally.  If you are planning to attend Sturgis, GOTG should be your first stop.  Leaving Sunday morning, August 2, you will arrive in Sturgis in time for the official opening.

There will be plenty of activities for every member of the family.   Here are just a few of the plans for this event:

·         Opening Ceremony and Flag Raising

·         The largest Healing Field ever, with nearly 5,000 American Flags covering five acres*

·         Vendor and exhibitor booths

·         Nationally acclaimed and local entertainment

·         Sounds of Freedom Concert featuring The Kentucky Headhunters and Confederate Railroad (August 1) **

·         Group or self-guided ride plans

·         Children’s Play Area

·         Block Party on Ogden’s Historic 25th Street including Beer Garden

·         Gold Star Families Sunday Morning breakfast, free for all registered attendees

·         Prayer Service and Sturgis Rally Staging and send off

Until April 1, registration is $45 for one person, $75 for two.  After April 1, prices will increase by $10 per person.

 Your registration will include:

·      Official Gathering of the Guard 2009 T-Shirt (if registered by June 15, 2009)

·      Commemorative Dog Tag

·      Commemorative Program and discount coupons

·      One Poker Run hand – additional hands $10

·      One ticket for prize drawing

·      Venue Access

·      Entertainment** (not including headline concert)
